This Module is designed to take the student to deeper levels, focusing on essential oils, and IMIM techniques to become more confident and successful in helping animals with psychological and physical problems:

Please note: The 2025 diploma is the last for a while as Caroline will be focusing on further development, research and field work in self-medication.

Lesson 1. Part 1

An Individualised Approach to Gastrointestinal Health

Recognise behaviours that could indicate poor gut health - follow the clues
  • overly focused on food
  • Unusual behaviors like eating stones
  • Travel anxiety

Understanding the Significance of Purging

Lesson 1. Part 2

Exploring Gastrointestinal Health

An Individualiesd Approach

  •  Discover oils that support a healthy microbiome and the reasons behind their efficacy.
  •  Gain insight into the pharmacodynamics of essential oils you'll be incorporating.
  •  Understand the relationships between different oils and the rationale behind their pairing.
  •  Explore the connection between psychotherapeutic oils and their association with gut-related issues.

2. The evolution of secondary metabolites

  • Learn about the evolution of terpenes found in essential oils.
  • Over 700million years ago Algae began to form today’s seaweeds - flavonoids began to appear providing early antioxidant properties. Then 500 million years ago - a wide diversity of multi-cellular organisms began to appear on to the land. This created a need for the plant to protect itself from grazing animals and insects - developing defensive secondary metabolites.

This lesson is in the form of notes only.

Lesson 3. Part 1

An Individualised Approach to Liver and Gall Bladder Health

  • Recognise indicators signalling the need for liver or gall bladder support, such as eye problems, irritability, or stress-related behaviours triggered by travel.
  • Decode meaningful patterns: Discover what the congregation of flies might reveal about liver  health.
  • Dive into the role of specific oils in supporting conditions like Cushing's Syndrome
  • Uncover the intricate connection between the liver and the regulation of sex hormones, and learn which oils can contribute to this balance.
  • Gain insights into the relationship between liver function and certain behaviors, providing a holistic understanding of liver health.

Lesson 3. Part 2

Exploring Liver and Gall Bladder Health

An Individualised Approach

  • Discover specific oils that support liver and gall bladder health.
  • Understand the symbiotic relationship between certain oils and the microbiome, unraveling the reasons behind their efficacy.
  • Explore the partnerships between different oils and  their effectiveness in promoting liver and gall bladder well-being.

  • Excessive thirst or not drinking much
  • Licking or nibling around genital area

Understanding the Role of the Kidney/Bladder in Fearful and Insecure animals

  •  Explore how the kidney/bladder function is linked to emotions such as fear and insecurity.

Lesson 5. Part 2

Kidney/Bladder

Live video consultation with a dog called Angus

Important learning outcomes on what to look for when working with kidney - bladder issues

Review

"I must say how impressed I am with the new app which went live a couple of days ago. Intuitive in its use, it is really well designed and packed full of information. In fact its like carrying both your books in miniature! I especially like the way you can search by condition or by remedy. I am already using it and it will be my constant companion." Julia C
